That time of the year has come upon us again when we get dizzy from all the organising we have to do. Buy the pressies. Wrap the pressies. Office parties. Put up all the decorations and Christmas tree. Buy and prepare the food. Travel to our destinations to celebrate with family and friends.
Don't get overwhelmed. It's not life or death if it doesn't work out to plan. In fact, it'll all happen again next year too.
Amidst all the commercialism and pressure to buy gifts and spend money on "stuff", rest and relax and ponder on the things that matter.
There are people who find this the loneliest time of the year due to a number of reasons. Bear a thought for people who have lost loved ones in 2016. Think too of those without family and are on their own. Rather than just think, go the extra mile and lend them a hand or offer them a gift and a smile and an encouraging word.
Many spell this season with an X. If Christ never entered history, we wouldn't be enjoying this time of celebration. Merry Mas lacks ring!
Have a wonderful Christmas. Make it a little less selfish this year and put a smile on someone else's dial. All the best and may 2017 be the best year yet!!!
